Teras Döner
Solid Kebab Spot in Mitte—Generous Portions & Political Nostalgia at Teras Döner
Finding a truly recommendable Döner in Mitte isn’t easy—but Teras Döner might just be it. Thanks to a tip from Serap Güler, I gave the Adana Kebap plate (€16) a try, and it didn’t disappoint. The standard Döner goes for €6.50, and portions are generous. Judging by the steady customer flow and satisfied faces, the place is doing something right.
The Adana Kebap was well-grilled—could’ve used a bit more heat, but it wasn’t overly salty. The side dishes were abundant, and I enjoyed a chilled Ayran with my meal. Alcohol is available, and the spacious outdoor seating adds to the appeal. Note: it’s self-service.
Open daily from 10 AM to 11 PM at Wilhelmstraße 45. Bonus: check out the restaurant’s website for the full menu and a gallery of politician photos—from Kohl to Merkel.
