La Esperanza, a Spanish restaurant located at Chausseestraße 131B—right at the end of Friedrichstraße—is open daily from 11 AM to midnight. I dropped by for lunch and opted for the Königsberger Klopse with mashed potatoes (€10), staying true to a hearty German classic, and paired it with an Estrella on tap.

Beyond tapas, the restaurant offers a surprisingly broad menu—at nearby tables, the pizza seemed especially popular. A standout feature during lunch hours is the outdoor seating: plenty of sunshine, no direct traffic, and a clear view of the nearby intersection make it an ideal midday escape.

Lunch specials range from €8 to €10, and I was very pleased with my meal overall.
