Sushi, Bowls, and Brunch with a View at Gentle by the Reichstagsufer

At the corner of Reichstagsufer and Wilhelmstraße 67a—where Die Eins used to be—you’ll now find Gentle, a spacious Asian restaurant with something for everyone: sushi, curries, bowls, breakfast, and cocktails. There’s ample seating inside and out, including upscale beer garden-style tables without backrests.

Lunch specials go for around €10. We tried the sushi (€10), which was generous in portion and very well prepared, and the Eggs Benedict (€16), served on brioche with flawless hollandaise. The shrimp add-on wasn’t necessary—I’ll go with the avocado version next time. The mango lassi (€5) is also worth recommending.

Open daily from 8 AM to midnight. No reservation currently needed.
