At Fischer & Lustig, located in Berlin’s charming Nikolaiviertel, you’ll find a broad, affordable menu ranging from oysters (€3) and hering tartare to pan-fried plaice and venison steak. The restaurant offers lovely seating both inside and out—especially in its leafy beer garden.

The drink menu features a strong wine selection and a very tasty house beer. I ordered the sautéed romaine lettuce (€12) and the venison steak (€26)—both well-prepared and satisfying. The staff handles larger groups with a professional and welcoming touch, making this a great choice for events as well.
