Looking for a cozy spot between Alexanderplatz and the Rotes Rathaus for a light meal and refreshing drinks? El Colmado might be just the place.

Inside, you’ll find a sociable atmosphere with high stools at the bar—surprisingly comfy despite the lack of backrests. Outdoors, regular tables and chairs offer a direct view of the iconic TV Tower.

Drinks are reasonably priced for the area: a good 0.2L rosé wine is €7, and there are also gin tonics served in balloon glasses and Estrella on tap. The tapas won’t disappoint—the tuna puff pastry is moist and airy, and the Crema Catalanacomes in a generous portion. While the bread could be a bit firmer, the superb Iberico ham more than makes up for it.
