Elegant Italian Dining Near the Government Quarter: Pasta, Wine & Event Space at Cinque

November 2023 Update: I recently revisited Cinque for a dinner event and was thoroughly impressed. The intimate gallery space inside the restaurant is perfect for gatherings of 20 to 30 guests. The highlight? Pasta filled with fish, served in a lemon-mascarpone-pistachio sauce—absolutely delicious. The antipasti were also excellent, and the benchmark for any Italian spot—Spaghetti Carbonara—was cooked to perfection. I paired it all with a lovely glass of Nero d’Avola for €9.

April 2022 Note: Spacious and full of light, Cinque offers plenty of outdoor seating and quality Italian cooking. The lunch menu is available from 11:30 AM to 3:30 PM, with dishes priced between €13.50 and €16.50. Each comes with your choice of side—mixed salad, Vitello Tonnato, grilled vegetables, soup, or Mozzarella Caprese. Once a favorite of Helmut Kohl, Cinque remains popular among Berlin’s top communications professionals.
