Timeless Italian Dining in a Historic Setting: Chiaia
Once known as Alt‑Bötzow, this Italian restaurant—now Chiaia—continues to serve delicious meals in Linienstraße 113. I tried the calamari pasta (€17), which was flavorful and satisfying. The selection of open wines is strong, with good choices at €8 for 0.2 L. It’s a pity they no longer offer Ichnusa beer, though.
The charm of this place lies in its beautiful, aged wooden paneling—it feels as if the décor has remained unchanged for over a century. Chiaia is open for dinner from 5 PM to 11 PM and is closed on Mondays. For details and updates, check their Instagram page.
