November 2023 Update: While Bredouille no longer serves lunch, the bar still shines in the evening. Located at Georgenstraße 199, beneath the S-Bahn tracks, this spacious spot offers music, a relaxed atmosphere, and plenty of seating. The lighting design blends beautifully with the character of the historic railway arches.

Drinks are priced in line with Berlin-Mitte standards—a large draft beer costs €6. The real highlight? The cocktails. My companion raved about the whisky sour. Bredouille opens from 5 PM, closed Sundays and Mondays. More info and event listings are available on the bar’s website.

April 2023 Note: Just a short walk from Friedrichstraße station—at S-Bahnbogen 199—you’ll find Bredouille. Back then, it opened at noon on weekdays and offered a small but flavorful lunch menu. I loved the lentil soup with pizzabread (€6.50)—thick, gently spicy, and deeply satisfying. Most dishes were vegetarian and under €10. The drinks menu featured a strong selection of gin and beer. A small glass of rosé at €4.50 hit the spot. Outdoor tables made it a great place for a casual drink. The arched layout remains cleverly used and inviting.
