Rüdiger Bachmann has once again delivered. In a powerful report for the Kiel Institute for the World Economy (IfW Kiel), he dissects Trumpism into its components, traces the economic development of the USA since Donald Trump took office, and urges Europeans and Germans to say goodbye to transatlanticism. The report was published before the announcement of the tariff deal. It very clearly shows that the only reliable element of the American government is its unreliability. I especially liked the chapter “Internet egdelordism, machismo, and incelism.” You can find the report on the Institute’s website.
